Summary
StatementAI is designed so analysis history stays on your device. When you analyze a statement or ask the AI coach, content you provide may be sent to an AI provider to generate results for that request. We do not require a StatementAI account to use core features.
Information we process
Bank statements. You may upload a PDF or photos of statement pages. That content is used only to extract income, spending, and related insights for the analysis you requested.
On-device history. Recent analyses can be stored locally on your device so you can reopen them. Removing the app or clearing local data deletes that history from the device.
Support emails. If you contact us, we receive whatever you choose to send (name, email, bug details). We use that only to respond and improve the App.
When we share data with a third-party AI service
When you run an analysis or ask the AI coach a question, StatementAI may send the content you provided to an AI provider (for example, OpenAI) for processing. This may include personal or financial details that appear in your statement or question (transaction descriptions, amounts, account labels, merchant names, and similar).
- What we send: the statement file or images you select, and/or the question text you enter, plus instructions needed to produce analysis or coaching output.
- Why: to return income/spending analysis and coaching answers.
- Your control: you choose when to upload and when to ask. If you do not submit content, it is not sent for AI processing.
How we use information
- To operate core features: statement analysis and AI coaching.
- To fix bugs, secure the App, and comply with law when required.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your statements for advertising.
What we do not do
- We do not require bank username/password login to use StatementAI.
- We do not silently scan your photo library; you pick files or photos explicitly.
- We do not provide investment, tax, or legal advice as a licensed professional service.
Data retention
On-device history remains until you delete it or remove the app. Content sent to an AI provider for a request is processed to fulfill that request according to that provider’s terms and retention practices. Support emails are retained as needed to handle your request.
Children
StatementAI is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your region). Do not use the App if you are under that age.
Changes
We may update this policy. We will post the updated version on this page and revise the effective date. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated policy.
